Hollywood has some actors that have been infamous for taking drugs to perform better. From actors like Robert Downey Jr. to Heath Ledger, many actors have tried and battled addiction during their professional careers.

Steven Yeun Took Drugs During Filming To Calm Down
After finding fame by portraying the character of Glenn Rhee in The Walking Dead, the actor felt that he had lost time. While trying to make up for the late gain in fame, Steven Yeun stated that he started taking drugs to help him perform better.
In his talks with WSJ Magazine, Yeun talked about DMT, licking a toad, and other drugs that calmed his mind. Blaming his mind for being hyper-active in overanalyzing stuff and overthinking, the Thunderbolt star admitted that he is curious about psychedelic drugs and their effects on the human brain. “I was late to the game, [I had an urge] to make up for lost time”. The drugs tempered with his mind and made him stop from overanalyzing stuff which was “really beneficial as well as necessary.”
The actor continued that his brain had gone into a hyperdrive of self-defense since he was 4 years old.
“It’s the way I’ve been since I was 4 when I got dropped here and my brain went into a hyperdrive of self-defense. I can obsess over something. I can be taken down by thoughts.”
Steven Yeun revealed that he has since left the past life of drugs but is still curious about DMT and other psychedelics that he wants to try.
Steven Yeun’s Life Is Peppa Pig and Pokémon Now
After the birth of Jude Malcon Yeun in 2017, Steven Yeun left the old life for something new. With a sober start and a little hint of curiosity, Yeun quipped that his life is all about Peppa Pig and Pokémon now.
“My entire life is Peppa Pig and Pokémon. It’s becoming standard to do DMT or lick a toad. I haven’t done that, but I’d like to, at some point. I was pretty clear about who I was, to myself, from a really early age, and so life had been me mostly trying to explain myself. I was trying to make it so that I could stop explaining myself”
With a character named The Sentry, Steven Yeun will be seen starring alongside Harrison Ford and Florence Pugh in the upcoming movie Thunderbolts. With it currently in pre-production, Marvel’s Thunderbolts is slated for a release date of 26th July 2024.
