Nevertheless, despite radio silence from the executives and Marvel on this question, fans have a compelling theory. Many fans think that the MCU saga is moving towards a Secret War. The Secret War refers to a multiversal collision event where heroes from many Earths find themselves in an ethereal mass known as Battleworld which leads to a great incursion. While all this is mere speculation, the points mentioned below suggest that this may be what the MCU has in mind.

1. Kang the Conqueror
The next avengers level threat might relate to the coming of Kang the Conqueror. He first appeared in Loki and would next be seen in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Kang is closely related to time travel. He could in the future set up his own version of Battleworld that could set up the path to Secret Wars.

The Russo Brothers are one of the most important directors when it comes to the MCU. They have been a part of several landmark productions. While they have stepped back, they recently commented that a Secret Wars event could bring them back.
