We are all set to get a new Superman after Henry Cavill was fired from the Man of Steel role. While many fans have expressed disappointment, an equal number remain who couldn’t be more excited about it. With James Gunn working hard to bring about the new Superman: Legacy, there have been rumors flying about who would be donning the legendary suit next.
As per recent reports, it has been revealed that three actors would soon be giving in-person screen tests for the role of Superman. Here are the three actors who could replace Henry Cavill in Superman: Legacy.
Nicholas Hoult aka Beast
Earlier reported to have been auditioning for Lex Luthor, Nicholas Hoult has been decided to be among the final list of actors who could play the Kryptonian hero next. Known for playing Beast or Dr. Henry Philip Hank McCoy, Hoult plays a major role in the Marvel universe. If he does get to play Superman, he would be among the very few list of actors starring in major roles across the two Superhero studios. However, fans haven’t been too keen on Hoult playing the caped crusader, saying that despite his looks he ‘lacks’ the vibe.
David Corenswet
The next contender who could play Superman is David Corenswet. A fan favorite even before all this rebooting thing came about, the star seems to be perfect for playing a young Clark Kent. The Politician actor also looks like a cross between the two most popular Superman- Henry Cavill and Tom Welling. He even once said,
“My pie-in-the-sky ambition is definitely to play Superman. I would love to see somebody do an upbeat, throwback. I love the Henry Cavill dark and gritty take, but I would love to see the next one be very bright and optimistic
Whether he gets to play Superman or not, he sure will look perfect playing the Kryptonian hero.

Tom Brittney
Another British actor, Tom Brittney is comparatively lesser known than the other two. Recently seen playing Reverent William Davenport in the mystery period drama Grenchester, he has been doing a tremendous job starring as the mysterious Davenport. Also oldest among the rest of the final list of actors, Brittney has mostly appeared in TV series and is also a popular fan choice for the role.
The production of Superman: Legacy is all set to begin in January 2024, and fans have been keeping their eyes peeled to see which actor among the three would be the final choice.
