15 Superhero Actors That Starred Together Before They Were Superheroes

Sometimes the most ideal approach to find another film is to glance back at your favorite actor’s past work. With countless actors playing your most loved superheroes and supervillains, sometimes when you look back, you find they’ve acted in a film with another comic book actor.

When we see/think about Robert Downey Jr., Tony Stark’s snap that saved the universe will almost always come to mind; he brought such a large amount of himself to that job that, for many, he is a hero. Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) teams up with Batman (Val Kilmer) in a noir comedy to solve a murder mystery in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (2005).

Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) is trying to assist the homeless after befriending a young, deranged, homeless Bane (Tom Hardy).

10) Kick-Ass

One Quicksilver (Evan Peters) pretends not to know his friend, an alternate reality Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) is moonlighting as a superhero who occasionally teams up with Ghost Rider/Big Daddy (Nicholas Cage)

11) American Psycho

A very successful and unhinged wall street mogul, Batman (Christian Bale), kills The Joker (Jared Leto) a man he’d become very jealous of. He seemingly gets away with it, though the Green Goblin (Willem Dafoe) has his suspicions.

12) American Hustle

Rocket Raccoon (Bradley Cooper) a wild FBI Detective is sent to take down a brilliant conman Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale), whose girlfriend is Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence), and ends up ruining the life of mayor Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) in the process.

13) Wanted

Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) is a bit of a bully who works in an office with Charles Xavier (James McAvoy). But he eventually gets his when Xavier grows a pair.

14) 10 Things I Hate About You

Robin (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) and The Joker (Heath Ledger) went to high school together.

15) The Perfect Score

Did you think Captain America (Chris Evans) and Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) had great chemistry in Captain America: Winter Soldier? Well, turns out they went to high school and took the SATs together.
